The Gambia Pilot Program is a 10 millon EUR partnership project, financed by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development under the Regional Stabilisation and Development Fund for ECOWAS Member States via KfW, which has contracted GAMWORKS as the programs executing agency to implement the pilot scheme with technical assistance from Dusseldorf based German consulting company, PEM.
GPP seeks to contribute to the stability and sustainable development of The Gambia through the creation of employment and income opportunities, especially for youth, women and migrant returnees.
The program has three components:
Component 1: Infrastructure and equipment along the value chains of horticulture, poultry and fishery, selected for their potential for youth employment;
Component 2: Vocational training and skills development
Component 3: Local capacity-building and governance.
The Pilot Program will be implemented in Greater Banjul Area , Lower River Region and Upper River Region and applicants must be residing in these regions.
